Cannabis Legalization
Hoosiers are hurt by increases in property taxes and decreases in funding for vital services. At the same time, 24 states across the country (3 of them - (MI, OH, IL) right next door to us - are collecting billion $$ in tax revenue from legalizing, taxing & regulating weed. It works for them. Healthcare
All Hoosiers deserve access to quality healthcare and the freedom to make personal healthcare decisions based on consultation with medical professionals. I oppose government intrusion into doctors' offices.
Care for Young & Old
Due to inadequate options for childcare and eldercare, too many Hoosiers must opt out of gainful employment to care for a child, parent or companion. I support State investment in solutions to enable quality care for families.
Education
The redistribution of funds from public schools to private and parochial schools has created a crisis in public education. I oppose the use of taxes dollars in private entities.
Guns
Indiana's lack of basic gun safety standards have made us a leader in gun violence (2.5 times the national rate). I support 2nd Amendment Rights with constitutional limits.
Environment
Due to high levels of air and water pollution, Indiana ranks #50 in natural environment. I support legislation to tighten regulation of environmental pollutants.
Agriculture
Farm taxes are scheduled to increase substantially in the 2025 legislative session. I support solutions to make agricultural taxes fair.
